Overview
The client needed to perform a valve changeout on the X-mas tree. To be able to execute this operation in a safe and effective manner, there was a need to set two shallow barrier plugs above the Down Hole Safety Valve (DHSV). The plugs were planned to be run on Slickline and set with conventional timer-based setting tools. Since the Retrievable bridge plugs were to be set close to each other, conventional volume control could not accurately deliver a good leak test of the barrier. The optimum method to assure a proven barrier required monitoring of the small volume between the installed bridge plugs during leak testing
